The staff and the attention they give to maintenance is outstanding!
I've lived all over Hoboken, and this is by far the best living situation I've had. Everything from the management staff, the unit, the location- everything has been phenomenal.
1.The fire system in the lobby is loudly beeping 4 out of 5 times I enter the lobby. It need to be attended to. It is very unsettling.
2.The door to the garage is wide open 4 out of 5 times I enter the lobby. This allows car exhaust, frigid cold, heat and cigarette smoke in the lobby which travels up the elevator. The door gets stuck on the carpets and people leave it open. There needs to be an automatic door.
3. The garbage truck crush garbage btw 3-3:30 am almost every night. Awful.
Overall, I like living here, but there isn't a lot of personalization (e.g. I live in South and not North). or any rewards for longer term residents in terms of rent. In fact, often your rents get increased more if you have been here for awhile.
I think the amneties (pool) should come with the rent.
The only thing that concerns me is that with the increase of buildings in this area that the bus congestion is high and the commute, particularly to come home is now unpleasant.
They are rather cheap about certain things. For instance, there are very few lounge chairs by the pool and once they break they are not replaced. Also, they charge for plumbing problems when it is caused by the poor pipes of the building. The parking spaces are also very tight, which makes it difficult to get out of the car. They are trying to make as much money as they possibly can by squeezing in as many spots that they can.
