lack of cleanliness outside the apartment building, dog urine in the summer has an unbearable odor (why don't they wash it every now and then?) Gym is used by non residents and most of the equipment needs repair/maintenance.
Overall, I like living here, but there isn't a lot of personalization (e.g. I live in South and not North). or any rewards for longer term residents in terms of rent. In fact, often your rents get increased more if you have been here for awhile.
I think the amneties (pool) should come with the rent.
The only thing that concerns me is that with the increase of buildings in this area that the bus congestion is high and the commute, particularly to come home is now unpleasant.
They are rather cheap about certain things. For instance, there are very few lounge chairs by the pool and once they break they are not replaced. Also, they charge for plumbing problems when it is caused by the poor pipes of the building. The parking spaces are also very tight, which makes it difficult to get out of the car. They are trying to make as much money as they possibly can by squeezing in as many spots that they can.
I've lived all over Hoboken, and this is by far the best living situation I've had. Everything from the management staff, the unit, the location- everything has been phenomenal.
Members of the cleaning/maintenance staff often smoke in the garage, causing our foyer to smell like cigarette smoke
