Stoughton has a rich history, too. Named after William Stoughton, the 1 st Chief Justice of Colonial Courts, the town was incorporated back in 1726 and its first home was built in 1716. The Suffolk Resolves, the document thought to be the basis for the foundation for the Declaration of Independence, was written in Old Stoughton at Doty's Tavern, a site chosen by Samuel Adams and with Paul Revere in attendance.

My experience here at Bell Stoughton has been remarkable. My Apartment is Lovely, My Neighbors are The Best, Management and Maintenance are in My opinion One of A Kind!!!! The amenities are Top of The Line. The Movie Theater, Pool, Fitness Center, Club House are all Impeccable!!! I could go on but I think You can tell I Love My Apartment, Neighbors and Community!!!

I love everything the community has to offer & the staff is excellent. the only concern I have & it seems to be an on going issue is the parking. seems like a lot of non residence vehicles taking up spots.
