153 Reviews for Lakeside Apartments
Clean area. Safe. Grounds are well kept and staff is friendly.
Without question, this is the nicest, well-maintained apartment complex I have ever lived at. The staff is friendly and responsive. The buildings and grounds are well kept. Most importantly, the staff does an excellent job of keeping its residents informed of events and seems to focus on continued improvement.
I've been a resident at Lakeside apartments for five years and i love it!
nice place but the management need ,to do better job
Paper thin walls and ceilings. The value and quality of the apartment are not comparable to the rent - rent is too high for this place. About $1,200 a month for 945sq/ft and 2 car stickers. Utilities and complex maintenance fees are not included. That'll raise your rent about $100-$130. Plus you're responsible for COMED and COMCAST utilities, adding about another $100-$200 to your rent. In total you're paying about $1,500 or more a month for a tiny unit (you're better off buying a house - it'll be cheaper). My roommate and I had to transfer units because the neighbors above us were obnoxiously loud - we heard everything. The unit we moved into was exceedingly more beautiful and up-to-date in contrast to our previous unit. It's almost ridiculous the difference in quality (aside from our super squeaky floors) - I feel bad walking around. With that said, it's kind of crazy to think that the units are that different (most likely) across the board. Want to sublet because you need to move for that sudden promotion, or want to go back to school? Too bad. You can break the lease with no charge if you have a debilitating medical condition, though...
