    Broadway Lofts

    The Happ Brothers Manufacturing Building (circa 1916) was converted to state-of-the-art apartments by McCarty Property Group in 2001. This National Register historic structure was thereby saved from demolition and retrofitted with 95 unique dwellings serviced by two interior courtyards and a rooftop deck. A change in ownership took place during September 2013 in which the building and associated private parking was acquired by Aderhold Properties, Inc. The new ownership also owns and operates TERRACE APARTMENTS and KATHERINE COURT, historic apartments located on Mulberry Street, all within walking distance of downtown restaurants, Mercer University School of Law, and the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

    I have lived here for almost 4 years and have never had any problems. Maintenance issues are addressed quickly, property staff are extremely nice and helpful, and I have always felt safe.

    I love living downtown Macon. As a female I am often asked if I feel safe and I must say I have never felt like I was in a threatening evironment. The location is awesome, it's not right in the gut of it all but it is close enough you can walk. I have lived in the BL in the past and moved back because I had such a great experience. The staff is terrific! I do wish that we had a up to date gym/recreational area.

    A few things many residents would like added: deck furniture to the rooftop deck (tables/chairs/umbrellas or some kind of covering), a "cleanup station" by the dumpster area and the gated parking lot area where many of us take our dogs, better gym equipment, flowers or something outside (a few hydrangea bushes- it doesn't have to be anything fancy or high maintenance), more storage when you redo the kitchens and bathrooms (add a pantry/non-pedestal sinks), indoor bike storage
