First off, the staff here is very friendly. They have a good rate for an apartment as well. However, over my 9 months of living here, something always needed to be fixed. The carpet, doors, screen door, cabinets, kitchen sink, bathroom sink (twice), dryer.... and that is just my apartment. It just seems that between move-ins, they need to do a better job inspecting the apartment and making it move in ready.
My apartment is not insulated well and the door wall along with the other windows leak air in. This leads to very high utility bills in both the summer and winter. I have dealt directly with Five Group Management and they would not do anything to compensate me for the high utility bills. Nor would they insulate the apartment or fix/install the windows.
The apartments are in a good neighborhood, and are kept clean. The onsite staff are very responsive and efficient to issues within their control. However, the buildings are getting old, and are in much need of updates/repairs that are of a major nature. (i.e., windows, air conditioning, entry doors, parking lots, etc.) These major areas are now to a point of being neglected.
The management team is superb and the maintenance team is quick to respond.
It is a very quiet community and the residents, office staff, and maintenance staff are very friendly.
