"Brookside is very well-placed and within walking distance of bars, restaurants, caf�s, the University, and other desirable locations. If you are looking for somewhere with a large population of pet owners, this is a great place to go!"
"Brookside is, despite the heftier rent, a very good place for your first living-on-your-own experience. It's safe, you can submit fix-it's, and the location is close to campus. The only downsides are that the rent is pretty high, you can definitely hear the neighbors if they're loud, there's not really guest parking, and the Internet service through centurylink is a pain, but everyone is nice and friendly and this has been a lovely place. "
"The office staff and other workers are very friendly and approachable. The community is kept clean and beautiful. Most of the neighbors are very enjoyable. It is a nice community to live in, particularly if you are a young person. Sometimes the noise from neighbors is unacceptable. I think this speaks more to the individuals living near our apartment than to the representation of the community as a whole. I don't mind the typical sounds of close living (water running, footsteps from upstairs, washing machines, etc.), but music, party noise, and drum sets at late hours are ridiculous. I would not recommend this community for people with young children."
"Brookside is a safe place especially for dog owners and their pets. Brookside offers a lot fenced area for dogs to play in. If your apartment is facing the dog park, it can once in a while get a little loud from the barking of excited dogs, but it has never been a problem. The dogs are well trained and a great enhancement to the community."
"If you want to be near campus and you have a dog, this is a great place for you. Neighbors get to know each other here and all the dogs play with each other. That said, it's very expensive, so you might want to split the cost with someone. It's corporation-run, so don't expect to have any suggestions taken into account or fast service. "
