I feel The Highland deserves an excellent rating for it's prompt and quality repairs, it's prompt and quality pest control, it's lovely apartments, and it's friendly yet unobtrusive neighbors.
I love the Highlands so much that I have lived here twice (same apartment). The staff is prompt and reliable and the location is superb, walking distance to parks, local bars, great restaurants and the grocery store. I couldn't ask for a better place to call home!
We love the building and maintenance is always very prompt and helpful. However, we lose water pressure frequently to the point where it stops running for brief periods (5-10 min). Also, the unit is very drafty and hard to keep warm without the heat constantly running.
The location is nice, and we are mostly left alone unless there are safety issues requiring our attention. I did make the comment that the back stairways are never, literally, never cleaned. They still haven't been cleaned.
I 100% love the area that I live in. It is very safe, and feels very homey with still being very close to the city-life. I have never once had a problem with neighbors, and it is very pet-friendly!! The only downside is that all of the buildings are rather old, so there are sometimes problems with plumbing and other aspects of old buildings.
What is a Certified Resident?
A resident who lives at the property and has completed a resident satisfaction survey.
Advertising properties provide a list of email addresses of its residents to Kingsley Associates, a third party market research firm, who then sends out the satisfaction survey to the residents. Properties may also conduct satisfaction surveys of its residents through other third party market research firms. In those cases, we will publish those survey responses as long as the questions conform to our standard survey format.
Because reviews are from Certified Residents, and are managed by a third party, you can feel confident that the feedback provided is accurate and trustworthy.
