Shadowood Apartments have shown me that although it is actually an old complex, it has been given great care! My apartment look brand new. The things that I determined needed to be fixed or repaired were immediately taken care of.
Maintenance and office staff used to be exemplary. Manager now is completely unavailable either by phone or walk-up. They want you to send in your questions online. The maintenance personnel keep changing since the last one, who was great incidentally, died. If you expect professionalism and efficiency, go elsewhere.
Overall the apartment is OK and only thing that I don't like is my refrigerator which makes loud noises and certain areas of it will not come clean. Also, the stove is outdated and certain areas on it will not come clean as well. Neither was clean at move in either.
I signed my lease and was told certain things were going to be done to the apartment, but when I moved in those things weren't done. The place isn't too bad, but I wish that management would'very kept their word. I am in the military and I am big on people holding their word. Trying to get in contact with the staff during business hours is horrible. They're always in and out the office and don't answer the phone mostly. It take several months to get a referral check too. Customer Service poor.
They accused me of doing damage to the hall carpet with a cigarette and I don't even smoke. I'm a single male, not the bet house keeper but I did clean and steam clean the carpet and would have had done on a continual basis but that wasn't good enough for the land lord.
What is a Certified Resident?
A resident who lives at the property and has completed a resident satisfaction survey.
Advertising properties provide a list of email addresses of its residents to Kingsley Associates, a third party market research firm, who then sends out the satisfaction survey to the residents. Properties may also conduct satisfaction surveys of its residents through other third party market research firms. In those cases, we will publish those survey responses as long as the questions conform to our standard survey format.
